The State Court team is responsible for prosecuting misdemeanor cases in the State Court of Chatham County and the Recorder’s Court of the City of Savannah. The goal of the division is to ensure efficient and as well as quality prosecution of misdemeanor cases throughout Chatham County.
The State Court prosecution team consists of:
- Six assistant district attorneys assigned to three judges
- An assistant district attorney assigned to DUI Court and DUI Recorder’s Court
State Court assistant district attorneys also handle court cases for misdemeanors in three municipalities: Bloomingdale, Thunderbolt and Tybee Island.
